Join The Tersus Team as a Fire Risk Assessor with Tier 2 experience Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year with car allowanceLocation: The ideal person will be located Milton Keynes/Northampton, but we are also open to nearby locations if you are willing to travel. We are passionate about promoting safety and compliance in a variety of environments, and we are looking for someone with your expertise to help us do just that. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference, conducting essential fire safety risk assessments. Ideally you will be base in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent or Surrey. The role is paying up to £50,000 plus car allowance. As part of our team, you’ll receive robust training and support, and be encouraged to continuously develop your skills in this ever-evolving field. We value innovation and collaboration, ensuring that you have the tools you need to succeed in this pivotal role.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeConduct fire safety risk assessments in line with the latest regulationsProduce clear and actionable reports that guide clients towards complianceEngage with clients and stakeholders, explaining findings and recommendations with clarity and confidenceStay ahead of changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices, ensuring our advice is always the best availableCollaborate with team members to enhance our services and share knowledgeRequirementsWhat We’re Looking For:A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire SafetyRegistered with the IFSM, Tier 2 or similar competency schemeAt least 2 years experience within the fire industry Experience with compartmentation and/or door inspections desirable but not essential as training will be givenProven experience in conducting fire risk assessmentsStrong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislationExceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with easeA proactive, problem-solving mindset that helps you identify potential hazards swiftlyA valid driving license, as this role involves visiting various sitesEnthusiasm for continual learning and professional growthBenefits23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays – increasing to 25 with length of service.10 extra paid days leave for Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers to attend their annual training.Life Insurance offered after 6-month serviceEnhanced Sickness, Bereavement, Maternity and Paternity pay.
