Job Title: Food Technician Location: Secondary School, Newham Contract: Term Time Only | Contract | Full-Time Start Date: 03/11/2025 About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Food Technician to join our vibrant Design & Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of Food & Nutrition across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping our students develop essential life skills and a passion for food. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and set up ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical food lessons. Maintain cleanliness and safety in food rooms, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage stock, order supplies, and monitor inventory levels. Support teachers and students during lessons, demonstrating safe and effective use of equipment where required. Assist with displays, resources, and departmental administration. About You: A positive and proactive team player with excellent organisational skills. Knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable). Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Previous experience in a school or catering environment is an advantage but not essential - training will be provided. Why Join Us?
