This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding team in a forward-thinking accountancy practice.Key Responsibilities:
Review company financial statements and sole trade accountsOversee corporation tax returns and ensure accuracyDraft advisory notes with the support of Senior Managers and DirectorsManage annual personal tax filings for clients, ensuring complianceDemonstrate a strong understanding of financial statement disclosuresLead the management of client portfolios, acting as the primary point of contactCommunicate with clients regarding deadlines and additional requirementsAssist Senior Managers and Directors with meeting deadlines for Accounts, Tax, VAT, Payroll, and Company Secretarial tasksCollaborate with clients to gather necessary information and ensure timely submissionsBuild and nurture strong client relationships, offering expert advice on financial mattersProvide guidance on the interpretation of financial results and offer practical adviceSupport clients with the development and implementation of internal systems, controls, and accounting softwareConfidently communicate tax and financial advice to clients, helping them navigate complex issuesMentor and support the professional development of junior team members, including senior associates and supervisors
Attributes, Requirements & Skills:
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in practiceProfessional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)Proven experience managing your own portfolio of clientsStrong commitment to maintaining high-level technical knowledgeProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelSoftware Xero is essential; experience with Iris, Alpha, QuickBooks, and Sage 50Strong awareness of technology and its application in accounting and practice managementSelf-motivated and proactive, able to apply skills to new and evolving scenariosExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work well within a team and motivate junior staffAbility to work under pressure while maintaining focus and accuracyExceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
