SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Southwark Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications) Contract: Full-Time | Monday to Friday Start Date: Immediate About the Role Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Southwark is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children who may have Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs — helping them thrive both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 or small-group support tailored to individual learning needs. Assist teachers in adapting lesson materials and maintaining classroom engagement. Encourage students’ confidence, independence, and participation. Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. What We’re Looking For Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (preferred, not essential). A patient, caring, and resilient attitude. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
