We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly team at a historic college in the heart of Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a vibrant academic environment, supporting formal dinners, events, and daily service. Key Details Hours: 18 hours per week, over 6 days (Sunday off) Monday to Friday: 17:30–20:30 or 18:00–21:00 (flexible shift pattern) Saturday: 17:00–20:00 Contract: Permanent, part-time Location: Central Oxford (college premises) What You’ll Do - Assist with food service during evening meals and college events - Support kitchen prep, plating, and clearing - Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene - Provide friendly, professional service to students, staff, and guests About You - Previous catering, hospitality, or customer-facing experience is an advantage (but not essential – full training provided) - A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team - Reliable, punctual, and happy to work evenings - Eligible to work in the UK What We Offer - Competitive hourly rate - Uniform provided - Meals on duty - 28 days paid holiday (pro-rata) - Pension scheme - A supportive and inclusive workplace in a beautiful Oxford college setting If you’re looking for evening work that fits around other commitments and want to be part of a close-knit catering team, we’d love to hear from you.
