We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of a Nursery Bank Staff on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £13.11- £16.62 per hour Summary: We are seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Bank Staff member to provide flexible, high-quality care and education cover within the Council's Early Years and Childcare Service settings. The role involves working directly with children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. As Bank Staff, you will be required to be flexible and adaptable to cover different rooms and age groups as needed. Responsibilities: Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in accordance with the children's needs.Act as a Key Person for allocated children when required, building strong attachments and supporting their individual learning and development needs.Conduct and record regular observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and identify next steps in their learning.Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and liaise with external agencies where required.Ensure that all safeguarding policies and procedures are rigorously implemented, and promptly report any child protection concerns to the person in charge.Adhere to all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures, including carrying out risk assessments. Essentials: Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) qualification or equivalent (e.g., Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce).A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) is typically required for Level 3 status.Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and current statutory guidance.Sound knowledge of child development (birth to 5 years).Demonstrable experience in planning, observing, and assessing children's learning and development.Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.A current Paediatric First Aid certificate is often required.
