Motor Vehicle Technician (MOT Tester)Location: Newcastle Upon TyneSalary: £36,363 - £39,862 per annumVacancy Type: Permanent, Full TimeClosing Date: 25th November 2025The Council (City Transport) are seeking a qualified MOT tester, time served motor vehicle technician to be appointed on a permanent contract.The Role City Transport have two test stations testing class 4,5 & 7 vehicles, with one site conducting compliance and MOT testing of Licenced Taxis & Hackney carriages.The successful candidate will join the dedicated team of testers at the modern MOT test station facility at Wincomblee road in Walker. Skills and QualificationsThe council are recruiting someone with the skills and experience to enable the effective and efficient testing to DVSA standards in a busy working environment.
