The energy behind the bran­d is infectious, and as we grow, we are always looking for extraordinary talent who want to be part of this our success and help drive our limitless ambitions.About the roleAs Legal Counsel for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty you will report directly to the Head of Intellectual Property (Global). You will provide legal support to the international business on all aspects of intellectual property law, including advising on the Group’s global trademark portfolio, delivering to the business the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance whilst supporting the business with its international growth.You will also provide legal support to the global (excluding China) direct and indirect procurement teams negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts relating to the supply chain, professional services, logistics, facilities, visual merchandise and other third-party engagements. You will support the legal team to develop and enhance effective working processes with the business to ensure that the business’ objectives are achieved within appropriate timescales and with the relevant stakeholder approval.As Legal Counsel you willAssisting with legal affairs relating to intellectual property with supervision from the Head of Intellectual Property (Global), including day-to-day operation of the Group’s trademark and brand protection work supporting on and running with clearance searches, filings and prosecution matters Drafting cease and desist letters and supporting with enforcement strategies for the businesses’ IP portfolioProviding intellectual property guidance and training to stakeholders across the businessSupporting the business with day-to-day legal queries, identifying legal risks and providing commercially sound adviceAssisting with the development and implementation of legal procedures and policies to ensure the business’ compliance with applicable lawsDrafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts, including supply agreements, co-existence agreements, settlement agreements and licencesSupporting the business with IP related disputes and legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when requiredAssisting with the preparation of papers and minutes for the Group’s monthly Intellectual Property Committee meetingsPreparing and conducting legal training for staff About youCommunication and Stakeholder ManagementAccurate, clear and concise communication (written and oral) of legal and non-legal informationKnows the importance of good working relationships (internal and external); communicates and builds trust and rapport Demonstrates presentation skills that effectively convey a message Organises and co-ordinates workload and priorities to provide timely and effective supportShow flexibility and overcomes difficulties to achieve results within targets and timescalesDemonstrates and displays the Charlotte Tilbury values at all times Professional Excellence and Business AcumenQualified legal professionalResearches effectively to develop understanding of the law or specialist areaDrafts and negotiates in a logical manner using standard templates and precedents. Asks questions to understand context, clarify deadlines and understand expectationsEncourages and supports others to adapt to changeTakes the initiative and demonstrates personal ownership to get things done despite barriers and obstacles PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEQualified Solicitor – England and Wales (1-2 years’ PQE)Strong experience and knowledge of intellectual property and commercial law Solid training and qualifications from a leading national or international law firm or reputable businessExperience of working for a global brand and advising on multi-jurisdictional issues is highly desirableWORKING ENVIRONMENTOffice based: Central London (hybrid working, office based for 3 days per week) Charlotte Tilbury is a dynamic and fun place to work.
