About the role:We’re looking for a Network Engineer with technical expertise and a passion for solving complex problems. You’ll play a pivotal role in our Managed Services team, supporting critical infrastructure and troubleshooting of network and security solutions.This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, brings a methodical approach to problem-solving, and is confident working across a wide range of technologies.Here’s what the role looks like:Provide support to clients for technical incidentsDiagnose and resolve network and security-related issuesManage change control and risk assessments across managed service environmentsImplement infrastructure changes and upgrades with precision and minimal disruptionMaintain and improve technical documentation, policies, and proceduresManage vendor escalations and technical case handlingPerform regular maintenance and patching of network and security systemsMentor junior engineers and share technical knowledgeWhat We’re Looking For:Proven experience in network engineering rolesUnderstanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring toolsLogical and methodical approach to troubleshooting and implementationExcellent communication and documentation skillsAbility to lead by example and mentor othersPassion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality serviceRequirementsHere are the key skills and experience relevant to this role: Key Skills & Experience:Experience in a similar role, or field-basedCCNA Certification is desirableA valid driving license is essential, as travel may be requiredExperience troubleshooting enterprise networks and associated technologiesUnderstanding of Wide Area Networking technologies and routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGPProficiency with tools like Wireshark and other network troubleshooting utilitiesEssential Technical Expertise:Experience administering and troubleshooting the following technologies and platforms:Cisco Routing & SwitchingCisco WirelessMeraki Routing & SwitchingMeraki WirelessBeneficial Experience (Not Essential)Cisco Meraki Technologies, including Wireless, Switching, Security (MX), and SD-WANFirewall administration (Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet)Cisco SD-WAN, including vManage, vSmart, and vEdge components, with experience in deployment, administration, and troubleshootingCisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)Cisco Catalyst CenterVoice infrastructure (Cisco CUCM, MS Teams, WebEx)BenefitsAt Sword, our core values and culture are based on caring about our people, investing in training and career development, and building inclusive teams where we are all encouraged to contribute to achieve success.
