Their pupils have a range of additional needs, and the school provides a warm, structured environment that helps each child grow at their own pace. You’ll work alongside experienced staff who’ll happily share their knowledge, so it’s a great setting if you’re considering a career in educational psychology, therapy, or teaching.What you’ll be doing Supporting pupils with autism, SEMH needs, and communication differences Helping to deliver tailored interventions and sensory routines Using your psychology background to understand behaviour and create calm, positive interactions Working 1:1 and in small groups to build confidence and emotional regulation Collaborating with teachers and therapists who value your insight What we’re looking for A psychology graduate who’s curious, reflective, and eager to learn Someone who stays calm when things get unpredictable Great communication skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships An interest in SEN, child development, mental health, or behaviour support Experience with children or vulnerable young people is helpful but not essential What you get with Protocol Education Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella deductions Free CPD including autism awareness, behaviour support, and de-escalation A consultant who genuinely supports you and understands local SEN settings Long-term roles in specialist schools that care about developing their staff Referral rewards when you recommend friends This is the kind of role that gives you hands-on experience you simply can’t get from a textbook.
