SOS Children’s Villages Belarus is searching for FINANCE MANAGER with function of Chief Accountant.

COMPETENCE REQUIRED:

• higher education in finance,
• IFR course, additional courses in financial management
• 3+ years work experience as Chief Accountant (working in NGO sphere is advantage)
• proficient in financial accounting, from accounts receivable and payable, book keeping, credit, audit, inventory management, payroll, budgeting, cost accounting, to financial analysis
• be familiar with the principles and practice of internal control and audit control, as well as with the laws and regulations of Belarus governing the financial management of an entity and accounting
• fluent English (oral, written) - obviously
• good computer skills (working experience with Navision or any other international system is advantage)

• good work organization and planning skills
• ability to work independently and in a team
• ability to motivate and develop employees
• good business communication and cooperation skills
• ability to assess the situation more broadly and make effective decisions
• initiative.

MAIN TASKS:

• perform general bookkeeping, asset accounting, cost accounting and budget control
• manage, monitor, report and interpret all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and budgeting of an organization’s operations
• prepare budget plans and forecasts, business plan
• prepare various reports and analyzes in accordance with SOS Children‘s Villages International requirements as well as quarterly financial reports (activity reports, balance sheet, cash flow statement)
• prepare audit documentation for auditors
• review and recommend financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting systems so that they are consistent with the organization' s policies and procedures
• reconcile or view all bank accounts (according to the signature rule)
• prepare working budget documents, working with national director and unit heads, adopting and following final budget plan
• oversee payroll staff and payroll preparation with accuracy and completeness
• verify that all reports submitted comply with the laws and regulations in force in Belarus
• monitor property and casualty insurance policies and ensure that the organisation' s assets are protected
• organize financial accounting
• upon discovery of unlawful acts of employees (write-offs, misuse of funds, other irregularities and misuse), the CFO reports this to the National Director in order to prevent unlawful acts
• perform planning, monitoring, control and reporting of international subsidies (including Fundraising and Public Funding) – in accordance with belarussian regulations
• management of financial team (involvement in recruitment process, engagement, personnel development (personal appraisal talks), KPIs).
