We are currently recruiting for a Human Resource Officer for the Londonderry area. This will be a full-time temporary role, Monday to Friday consisting of 40 hours per week. This vacancy is expected to last up to 31st December 2019 with a possible extension subject to funding.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Maintenance and upkeep of employee Personnel Files and PAMS information system
-Assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
-Monitor existing policies and procedures and update where necessary to reflect the changing needs of the organisation and in line with current legislation and best practice guidelines
-Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
-Preparing reports for Senior Management (and relevant statutory bodies) on HR issues e.g. managing absenteeism, equality and compliance and Section 75 matters
-Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
-Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and appointing candidates adhering to current legislation
-Assisting with grievances and disciplinary procedures
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
-At least 2 years' relevant HR experience
-At least 2 years' experience of using MS Office packages or equivalent
-Experience in the management and control of sensitive and personal information
-Experience in the production and analysis of statistical information
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
Candidates will be required to obtain a Basic Access NI check at a cost of £18.00.
