Paid hourly with overtime paid.You will be paid travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.Company van can be provided or we can provide a van allowance (providing you have a suitable van with no signage).The Role To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with (current) Bridges Mechanical Safety Rules and Essential Standards. Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans. To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise. To coach and mentor Mechanical Fitters, Mates and Apprentices. Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients. Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst their peers. To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation. RequirementsThe ideal candidates will be versatile, dynamic and have experience with reactive type work on industrial civils sites; upgrading critical assets including Pumping Station Refurbishments, PST/HST/Half Bridges Refurbishments, Experience with Steelwork Fabrication & Welding, Ductile Iron Pipe Fitting, Steel Erecting & Temporary Works.In addition to the above the ideal candidate will also have the following experience:Required Experience as a Mechanical Supervisor SSSTS or SMSTS (essential) Experience in Water / heavy Industrial industry Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification CSCS & CCNSG (or similar) Fitness to work medical Full UK driving license Desirable PASMA (desirable) IPAF (desirable) Confined space Authorisation to Pressure Test (Bridges) Emergency first aid or First Aider EUSR water hygiene Thames water passport BenefitsBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR BRIDGESRoSPA Gold Medal winner, Bridges - is an excellent company to work for and a great place to develop your career.
