Role Level: ManagerLocation: LondonReporting to: Director – Program & Portfolio ManagementJob summaryThe Program Manager will be responsible for planning, resourcing, budgeting, tracking and communicating updates on project activities for a number of pipeline programs. This will include working with internal and external stakeholders, academic collaborators and strategic partners. The Program Manager will partner with the Program Lead to serve as the project interface, coordinating all internal and external deliverables to ensure that project commitments are being met.Key Elements and Responsibilities· Partner with the Program Leader to manage all aspects of multiple programs of varying degrees of complexity.· Design, communicate and implement project plans in Smartsheet to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.· Monitor progress of projects against plan. Define and collect metrics to track project progression and measure key deliverables.· Leverage Program Management tools to effectively manage timeline and resources to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.· Highlight project risks and facilitate problem-solving, contingency planning, and decision-making to resolve problems and minimize delays.· Ensure linkage between strategic and operational activities.· Co-ordinate and ensure cross-department communication and integration.· Leverage cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless coordination and responsiveness.· Establish regular communication pattern to share information and updates with internal and external stakeholders throughout the duration of projects.· Consolidate program metrics to support portfolio progress reporting.· Ensure senior management approval of changes to scope identified.RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience of integrated program/project management in the biotech/pharma industry. The candidate must possess: · Solid understanding of biological product development phases and the role that key functions play e.g. CMC, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Research · Understanding of the requirements of key regulatory deliverables in Europe and the US in order to drive successful outcomes from a program management perspective Skills & Abilities Proven experience in project or program management within the biotech/pharma industry Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally and at all levels. Excellent organizational, task prioritization and communication skills. Proficiency in using Project Management tools, Smartsheet, Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of US and European regulatory requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary industrial environment. Education· BSc or equivalent qualification in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry or an associated scientific discipline· A PMP or equivalent certification is desirable
