We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Housing Advisor, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £22.19 per Hour PAYEResponsibilities:To conduct housing advice interviews with local private sector residents focussing on preventing homelessness and giving good quality advice on the potential avenues to resolve problems and on housing choices available so that customers can make informed decisions about their options.To provide the above through a detailed knowledge of housing legislation and case law including landlord obligations and a good knowledge of welfare benefits and rights.To liaise with other agencies to gather all relevant information about each case.To advocate for customers including court representation in possession proceedings and injunction applications.To promote the Councils PRS and rent deposit scheme and to actively assist customers in seeking and securing accommodation in the private sector.Qualifications:Experience of working in a Local Authority or RSL setting in a housing sphere.Experience of working in a demanding environment with a clear attention to detail.Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
