SEN Learning Support AssistantCroydon8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to FridayTemporary (with the potential to go permanent)To start in September 2024 or sooner£83.50 - £100 per day Are you a passionate and dedicated aspiring SEN Learning Support Assistant who would like to work in an outstanding SEN school in Croydon? This excellent school caters for children aged 4 to 19 with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Speech and Language Communication Needs and Profound and Complex Needs.For this SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs.Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in school activities.Promote independence and social skills development. The requirements for this role are that you will have: Previous experience in working, caring, or volunteering with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Complex Needs.Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the well-being and development of children with diverse needs.Ability to adapt to different learning styles and tailor support accordingly.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
