Our client is seeking a Nursery Nurse for their setting in the heart of Watford. Close to a shopping parade with convenience stores and coffee shops, this nursery has great transport links, with a local bus stop and the train station within a few minutes’ walk. This nursery is well equipped with spacious rooms, and staffed with a friendly and dedicated team.You will be responsible for creating an environment in which children’s individual needs are met and for supporting the team in ensuring that high quality childcare is provided to all. There is also car parking available for the team to use.Responsibilities:Work in partnership with parent and carers, catering for all children’s individual needs; observing, planning and evaluating development activities; keeping accurate records and maintaining regular contact and communication with parentsSupport the Room Leader to ensure that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded into the room, following and implementing the EYFS at all timesRespond to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as appropriateSupport with new staff induction into the room, to ensure consistency of careTo take good care and responsibility for equipment and furniture in the room, ensuring that any issues are flagged appropriatelyKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience of working in a day nurseryRelevant Early Years qualification – Level 3Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFSGood understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding and paediatric first aidValid DBS checkReady to embark on this rewarding journey with us?
