You will help to shape People strategy and own day-to-day People Ops, working closely with the Chief of Staff to create and maintain a positive and engaging employee experience for our 55 (and growing!) Monite team members around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, pay and benefits, employee relations, HRIS management, and policy development. You will have the opportunity to make a true impact on the development of our People function.We are looking for a People Manager who is people-oriented, results-driven, and has start-up/scale-up experience. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of how to attract and retain the best talent in a globally distributed and remote-first company.Responsibilities Develop and implement effective people strategies aligned with Monite's business objectives and culture Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes Collaborate with department heads to identify talent needs and create strategic hiring plans Build and maintain a strong employer brand, leveraging various channels to attract top talent Design and implement employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment Be responsible for our relationships with our Employer of Record providers Deel and Remote Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations in the UK, Europe and the US Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and support career growth Analyse HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to drive informed decision-making Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people-related matters Requirements You've been a People professional within a start-up/scale-up, preferably standalone or in a small People team You have designed and implemented People initiatives across the employee lifecycle You have global HR experience, preferably in the UK, Germany, and the US You’ve worked in remote-first companies before You know how to track, interpret and utilise People data You've worked with HRISs and ATSs (we currently use Zoho and Workable) You have an in-depth knowledge of employment laws and know how to stay compliant when engaging employees and contractors globally You're confident communicating with people at all levels of a company You're strategic when designing People initiatives, while having a knack for operations and day-to-day People admin You're people-oriented, resilient, and results-driven You have a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture Benefits £50-60k annual salary Opportunity to shape the People strategy of an early-stage, global start-up High degree of autonomy paired with a flat hierarchy Working with a great team in a remote-friendly environment Company-wide events and get-togethers A laptop of choice and company-wide perks
