Learning Support Assistant (part time, temporary)Portsmouth£85+ per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)May 2024 - ongoingDo you have ability to engage a young person no matter what barriers they may face?Vision for Education are looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a special school that educates children and young people aged between 3 – 19 with a range of complex needs who require a specialist provision to develop academically. The Learning Support Assistant will be joining a school that can provide a range of facilities for their students including therapy and sensory rooms starting in April 2024 on a ad hoc basis with the vision to becoming a full time, longer term contract for the right candidate.As the Learning Support Assistant you will be responsible for supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs and abilities both in and out of the classroom academically and emotionally.Requirements:The desired Learning Support Assistant will: Have experience working with children with additional needsHave a patient and caring natureHave the ability to motivate and engage studentsHave the ability to de-escalate challenging behaviours What we offer:As a Learning Support Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
