Brand new role for a Gardener/Groundsman/Maintenance and Housekeeper couple to look after a small estate near Moffat in Dumfreeshire.Retired principal in part time residence is looking for a flexible, pro active and hands on couple to look after the property and 5 acre garden, set within 10,000 acres. Due to the remoteness of the estate (8 miles to the nearest town), a love of the Scottish countryside and enjoyment of working outdoors are really important. Drivers essential.All cleaning, laundry and housekeeping duties will be required. Some light cooking when the principal is in residence would be ideal but is not essential.Good gardening knowledge would be helpful as well as general maintenance skills, use of machinery etc. The principal has previously looked after everything himself (with the help of contractors) but is now needing someone to take over these duties. Role is generally Monday - Friday, 40 hrs per week (possibility for Housekeeper to work part-time if preferred).2 bed cottage provided as staff accommodation, half a mile away. Can be furnished or unfurnished. Pets and dependents welcome. Principal is ideally looking for a couple looking for a long term role - previous experience working in Scotland would be ideal!
