The Client We are working exclusively with an incredibly exciting Electronics start-up that is storming the space. Now they are looking for a talented Finance Manager reporting to their UK Financial Controller to support the running of the finance function locally as well as help explore new commercial opportunities both domestically and internationally. Following several successful product launches, the company is looking to expand into several new international markets with grand plans to become the go to product in their space globally. They have undergone exceptional growth from $0 to $200m revenue in two years and they are on track to hit $300m revenue this year. Earlier this year they completed $100M fundraise which should take the company through to profitability by the end of this financial year. There is a lot to do in a very ambitious, bright company including setting up processes, implementing systems and setting the company up to accommodate further growth and international expansion. This is an opportunity to have a real impact in an incredibly exciting state-of-the-art technology start-up. Any finalist or newly qualified Finance Managers that are interested in a broad roll that requires a real "roll your sleeves up" mentality, this is for you. The Role The successful candidate will report directly to the UK Financial Controller, looking after all things UK Finance. This role is very broad and suited to someone who is happy to work in a start-up environment where there are some additional responsibilities outside of finance that may have to be attended to now and again. The Management will have some procurement responsibilities for the UK-based departments which are detailed below. Responsibilities Responsible for UK Accounting including month end, management accounts reconciliations and invoicing/cash collection queries. Supporting with consolidated accounts as well as financial statement preparation for the Group Accounting team. Finance business partnering with local departments including design, marketing and HR to assist with quarterly budget prep and to drive improvements in budget processes and reporting. Prepare and process notes / policies for systems and process improvement. Ensuring finance is EU compliant, consisting of tax compliance, VAT submission/returns and coordinating external advisor across the EU. Supporting the European team throughout procurement processes including communicating budget requirements, improving processes and assisting with preparing documentation. Continually drive for both budgeting / reporting process improvement, as well as the continual improvement of financial processes. What we need see: Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Confident in holding others accountable / managing change. Hands on attitude to finance and ability to dive into the detail as well as work on a broad range of tasks (not always finance related) when necessary. Strong team player as well as having a pro-active 'can do' attitude. What we would like to see: Oracle NetSuite experience desirable but not essential. Experience working in a business with international entities beneficial.
