We work closely with schools in Barnet to provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, creating a nurturing environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Barnet Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, PermanentKey Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them in overcoming barriers to learning.Implement individualized support plans, tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each student.Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments.Utilize creative and engaging strategies to support student engagement and achievement. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.Passion for supporting the educational and holistic development of young learners.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Team Teach, SEN training).
