The Finance Team are the financial guardians of the company with a wide range of responsibilities and they play a key role in delivering the success of the business. From the production of accurate and timely financial accounts, to data driven insights and analysis that aid business growth, to maximising cash collections from credit control, the Finance Team is at the very heart of the organisation. Finance roles are performed within an open, honest & hardworking environment that encourages individuals to grow, develop and achieve their potential.The Credit Controller is primarily responsible for contacting all customers within 24 hours of any direct debit default or cancellation and subsequently ensure efficient cash collection, reinstatement of direct debits and resolution of issues and queries. They will ensure the credit control dashboards are kept up to date and ensure customers are being contacted in line with credit control processes. They will work closely with the finance team and play a key part in ensuring that all customer accounts are kept up to date and reconcile to the accounting system.Key Accountabilities Maximise cash collections through proactive telephone, email and written communications with debtors Achieve maximum number of reinstated cancelled direct debits Reduce debtor days through timely communications and proactive resolution with debtors Accurate allocation of collections on inhouse credit control software Ensure customer account are up to date Process internal admin for customers sent to external debt collection agency Working closely with other customer facing teams to ensure swift resolution of credit control cases Ensure credit control KPIs, reports and dashboards are up to date to aid decision making Constantly look to provide suggestions to improve the cash collections processes and drive down debtor days Your skills and attributes that will make you successful in this role: Professionally handle difficult phone conversations with customers whilst representing the company values Excellent IT skills with the ability to work across multiple systems seamlessly Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUP Ability to review and analyse large datasets and reports Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills Pays attention to detail and has a ‘right first time’ attitude Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Will express own views and constructively challenge with alternative views Demonstrate persistence and determination to achieve targets and deadlines Knowledge of Sage and Salesforce preferable but not essential You’ll love being on the QCS team because: We are a dynamic, high achieving company that supports everyone who works for us to realise their full potential We listen to our people and we trust them We provide our people with the tools and the backing to turn outstanding ideas into successful innovations that improve lives We have a strong set of shared values – ‘Do the Right Thing’, ‘Make it Better’, ‘Play for the Team’ and ‘Get it Done’ – that together form the cornerstones of our culture Where is this opportunity based?
