If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant at an Ofsted good secondary school in Audenshaw.Role Overview:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities for personal growth. Your responsibilities will include: Individualized Support: Working closely with SENCOs and teachers to implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN, addressing their specific needs and learning goals. Classroom Assistance: Providing in-class support to students with SEN, assisting them with understanding instructions, completing tasks, and staying focused during lessons. One-to-One Support: Offering one-to-one support to students with SEN, helping them to develop their academic skills, confidence, and independence in learning. Behaviour Management: Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support students with SEN in managing their emotions, behaviour, and social interactions. Resource Adaptation: Adapting teaching materials and resources to accommodate the individual learning styles and preferences of students with SEN, ensuring they are accessible and engaging. Communication: Maintaining regular communication with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals involved in supporting students with SEN, providing updates on progress and areas for development. Emotional Support: Providing emotional support and encouragement to students with SEN, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where they feel valued and respected. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided.A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to promoting inclusive education for all students.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a positive and proactive approach to supporting students' individual needs and overcoming challenges.A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.
