Are you interested in a new role supporting students with Autism to make education more accessible?Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Stockport, easily commutable to from the surrounding areas of Hazel Grove, Bramhall, and Cheadle HumeThis position will be full-time and is due to start immediately.The salary for this position will be between £450 and £550 per week, dependent on the requirements from the school.The successful candidate will have studied Autism as part of their university degree and have a good understanding of how this affects the development of children. You should be able to apply your understanding of Autism into the behaviour management and academic support that is required by individual pupils. To best target the learning needs of pupils, you will work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups so that you are able to create supportive relationships to aid their development. You may also be required to assist the pupils with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).For this position, it is essential that you are willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, and you must also be able to provide at least two employment-based references, covering the last two years of employment.This position will be highly rewarding as you will be directly supporting the most vulnerable pupils.
