The postholder will mainly work on Adult Social Care matters but will also potentially be required to assist with Health and Childrens work. The Finance Business Partner will provide financial support to the Council's Transformation Programme with a focus of adult social care transformation new operating model, re-structure, commissioning, learning disabilities.Main Responsibilities Provide strategic and financial decision support to the Leadership Team for Social Care to underpin strong financial performance.Budget setting and the monitoring of revenue budgets, operating in accordance with financial policy and requirements.Support and drive the business area in maximising impact for local residents and businesses through delivery of effective and efficient financial performance.Drive strong financial control and advocate financial priorities to the business through the provision of timely & relevant management information.Manage team performance, contributing to the deliver of an effective service.Candidate CriteriaCCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant with extensive PQEExperience within Local Authority Finance, specifically within Social Care, is essential.Experience of managing a team, including goal setting and performance reviews, in order to provide an effective service.Experience of setting and monitoring budgets within a Local Authority environmentGreat communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a teamIf you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on 01772 208969 or email greg.waite@servicecare.org.ukService Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus So, if you know of anyone who would be perfect for this position and they are placed into work, you will receive £250 for the referral once their probationary period has been completed.
