Teaching Personnel are working alongside a futher education SEMH provision based in Islington You will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to develop their communication, independence and employability skills to make a successful transition.The ideal Candidate should have the relevant experience and must be passionate when caring for others and is confident when managing challenging behavioursDuties and responsibilities Provide support under the direction and supervision of teaching staff to assist pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in school activitiesParticipate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progressSupport the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on the expectations for individual pupilsProvide support for pupils with challenging behaviour taking account of support plans and risk assessments under the direct supervision of a teacher A successful candidate must provide the following Must hold an enhanced DBS registered with the update service Patient and ReliableExperience working with people with SEN / DisabilitiesBe confident supporting children and young peopleWorked as a Care / Support workerTrained in Moving and Handling This role is available after the Easter break and required until the end of the academic year with the potential of being extended.
