As part of our dedication to excellence, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team.The successful applicant will:Produce monthly management reports and assist the CFO with annual and quarterly budgeting. Complete financial statement reconciliations and VAT returns. Complete monthly invoicing including direct debit management (outsourced system). Complete monthly payroll for the group, supported by outsourced payroll bureau.Manage remittances from and liaise with different Local Authorities and the NHS. Use Xero/HubDoc software to collate, upload and process monthly supplier payments. Lead the relationships and manage supplier contracts and commercials. Assist the CFO in integrating accounts of newly acquired homes.Engage with other stakeholders in the business to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations of each care home. Being technologically savvy is a definite plus.You will need to be:A team player who engages well with others.Strong communicator and influencer.Energetic and hard-working.Flexible and adaptable to change.A glass half full person, with a sense of humour and a positive outlook.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Business Administration would be preferable.An understanding of UK Employment Law is desirable but not necessary.Proficient with Microsoft Office software.Confident user of technology, and ability to learn new software.Advanced knowledge of the Xero accounting system.Benefits Small, friendly management team.
