SEN Teaching Assistant – (Hackney) Full-time positionStart date: ASAPLocation: Hackney About the role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to support the students in small groups (2 – 3 students) or depending on the need of the child, one to one support.The students will have a structured day and you will be expected to keep records of each activity, for each child to have a record of learning progress for the day. Written feedback on their behaviour is also compulsory.There are over 30 classes in the school. Classes range from Early Years (EYFS) and through to Primary and Secondary School level (KS1 – KS4)The needs are a mix of Complex Needs (moderate and not severe) through to Autistic students (ASC) and students with low cognitive function.Academically, the school base their teachings on the national curriculum and students will require one to one time to tailor their studies to their level. About you:Previous SEND experience is advantageous but not essential.Ability to be flexible and adaptable.Ability to interact well with the children.There is the possibility of long term, full time work available in this role.
