We are currently seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of students in a secondary school setting in Kensington and Chelsea.Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a secondary school student with special educational needs, providing personalized support to help them achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with school staff and the SENCO to create a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-on-one support to the assigned student, assisting with academic tasks and promoting independent learning.Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the student's individual needs and learning preferences.Build positive relationships with the student, fostering their engagement and confidence in the classroom.Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to monitor the student's progress and adjust support strategies as necessary.Provide regular feedback to the SENCO and school staff on the student's development and any concerns or challenges encountered. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in a secondary school environment.Understanding of different learning styles and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting student learning and development.Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the role.
