My client is a fast growing and ambitious company They now require a Material Testing Technician to join their team initially for a specific 6 month contract, then moving onto other sites Due to the nature of the work, you do need to be flexible to work weekends and nights as required. Core hours are Monday - Friday 0830-1700 Responsibilities include:Operating semi-automated and automated lab equipmentFollowing established protocols, work instructions, scheduled tasks and activities independently.Perform in-process testing to assure batches meet specification.Troubleshooting of processes, procedures and product issues.Balance multiple tasks and prioritise critical tasks.Manage and implement preventative and corrective actions.Update standard operating procedures and work instructions for processes.Follow all health and safety measures in place, and ensure team members do the same.Collaborate, support and consult with other team members as necessary.Essential Experience:Either site or lab testing of Marshall asphaltSite testing experience of asphalt/tarmac/quarry productsConstruction Materials Testing experienceCSCS CardDegree within science or engineering.Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience.Understanding of safe working practice in a laboratory environment.Must have excellent communication skills.Proficient in using Microsoft packages.Driving licenceSalary: Negotiable, dependant on experience
