About CIRThe Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is an independent, non-profit social enterprise dedicated to identifying, countering and exposing influence operations. Our mission is to raise awareness of the threat to democracy and objective truth from influence operations, including disinformation, and help to counter it. CIR currently fulfils its mission through three strands – programmes and research, the Media Hub and our Resilience Network. About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, ambitious, non-profit organisation at a formative time in its development. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in taking forward our mission – managing the delivery of open-source research projects and ensuring the right processes and resources are in place to deliver efficiently, on time, within budget and to a high standard.Working within a young and innovative organisation, you’ll need to be a flexible and collaborative team player, willing to pitch in and multi-task across different projects and work at pace to often tight timeframes. In exchange, we offer a friendly and collaborative work environment, opportunities to take on new challenges and to grow your skills and experience.RequirementsAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a CIR project. Specific tasks will include:​ Playing a key role in the project’s leadership team alongside the project technical lead and relevant CIR Director to oversee delivery and maximise impact. Ensuring projects are managed to budget and quality, deadlines are met, and strong collaborative relationships are built with clients and wider stakeholders. Developing research plans and defining deliverables, establishing effective project management arrangements and quality assurance procedures, tracking project progress and rapidly identifying and resolving issues impeding delivery. Developing strong relationships with CIR staff, consultants, and partner organisations to produce high-quality outputs and achieve desired outcomes. Working with open-source investigators and remote sensing experts to develop innovative technical solutions that enhance data collection, verification and analysis. Ensuring the project’s activities and impact are accurately measured and recorded. Coordinating identification, assessment and management of risk across the project. Developing financial forecasts, overseeing expenditures, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Ensuring compliance with CIR’s corporate policies relating to data protection, cyber security, anti-corruption, safeguarding, conflict sensitivity, and CIR’s Code of Conduct. While it is a maternity cover position, there is scope for extension/ a longer-term role subject to future programming requirements. The role can either be office based, hybrid or remote, with the opportunity to work from CIR’s offices in London, if desired (subject to the applicant having the right to work in the UK). CIR encourages flexible working and is happy to agree a working pattern to suit the successful applicant.
