Job Title: DT Teacher Location: Harrow Job Type: Full-timeResponsibilities: Design innovative and comprehensive D&T curriculum that engage students and foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Lead dynamic and interactive D&T lessons, providing students with opportunities for practical application of design principles and technical skills.Implement project-based learning experiences that allow students to design, create, and evaluate their own products, incorporating elements of engineering, manufacturing, and craftsmanship.Ensure a safe and compliant working environment in the D&T classroom, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.Collaborate with colleagues, industry professionals, and community partners to enrich the D&T curriculum with real-world applications and experiences. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design & technology, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.Teaching certification/licenseExperience teaching DT at KS3-KS5Strong knowledge of the DTProficient in a variety of design software, tools, and equipment relevant to D&T, such as CAD/CAM software, 3D printers, laser cutters, and woodworking machinery.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
