The school is located really close to the local railway/tube and bus stops and is easily accessible.Role Overview: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across various subjects and activities. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will provide one-on-one assistance, small group instruction, and classroom support to ensure that all students can fully engage with the curriculum and make progress academically, socially, and emotionally.Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.Assist students with accessing the curriculum, completing assignments, and participating in classroom activities.Implement strategies and interventions to address specific learning goals and objectives outlined in students' individual education plans (IEPs).Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support strategies for students.Monitor and track students' progress, collect data, and provide feedback to the teaching team to inform instructional planning and decision-making. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.Strong understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young people with special needs.Relevant qualifications or training in special education, teaching assistance, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
