Role: Administrative Officer Salary: £23,151.50 per annum Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours per week, (we can consider less hours part-time hours, will be considered so simply let us know in your application). Location: Bristol, Hybrid (ability to work from home 2 or 3 days per week). About the Role: Our Fostering Services are committed to doing what is right, doing what is needed and doing what works to provide stable and loving homes for vulnerable and challenging children that need them most. We have offices in Bristol and Exeter and our purpose is to find foster homes for children of all ages. In this diverse role, you will be responsible for mailbox duties, to provide a responsive, high quality and customer focused service to prospective and current foster carers, local authorities and other agencies. Managing the process of fostering referrals from initial enquiry to placement. Our friendly and committed teams train, support and develop foster carers skills to promote the needs of children through Therapeutic Parenting and child centred approaches. As an Administrative Officer, you'll be: Providing a high-quality range of administrative services to colleagues, Social Workers, Foster Carers, and professionals. By supporting the placement of young people with our foster carer to ensure we provide safe and stable homes for our children. Working as part of a team yet having the ability to work on your own initiative as required. Flexible, effective, intuitive, flexible, and able to work to deadlines. By having experience of financial processes and systems such as petty cash, invoice processing and billing. Delivering excellent customer service and communication to all by phone, email and face-to-face. What You'll Bring: Our job description for the Administrative Officer outlines the requirements of the role but the 'must-haves' are: Demonstrable experience within a similar role. An organised, detailed and keen eye for accuracy, as well as being able to work efficiently and effectively. Intermediate IT Skills across MS Office, along with experience in software systems. Experience of adhering to internal policies, processes and procedures. Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR and acting with integrity and discretion. A professional, yet personable approach and be able to work independently.
