A mainstream Primary school in Croydon is looking for a full-time teaching / learning support assistant to work with students in Key Stage 2 - mainly Year 5 and 6 with challenging behaviour. The school is committed to providing high quality support and a nurturing environment for their students and within this position you will work with other staff to maintain this.Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviour and SEN based on their individual learning needs and goalsAssist the class teacher and other members of support staff to deliver structured lessonsImplement behaviour management strategies and techniques in line with policies to support students manage emotion and behaviour effectivelyFoster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected For this role you should Have previous experience working with learners with additional needs in an educational settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy and resilienceFull-time availability If you are interested in taking on this role, please apply with an up to date CV highlighting relevant experience.All applicants must have a permanent residence and right to work in the UK.When applying through Teaching Personnel, an enhanced DBS on the update service is a required document.
