In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit a Systems Integrator / Systems Engineer to work on new development, modifications, and research and technology for landing gears for a start during quarter 1 2025. The role is based in Gloucester, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis after initial training – minimum of 3 days per week site based.The role can be offered as a contractor Inside IR35 or a 6-12m Fixed Term employment contract (potential for longer). As a Systems Engineer, you will work on landing gear systems development programmes including Research & Technology projects. You will ensure that all requirements are properly defined, validated, verified and flowed down to internal and external suppliers.You will define and manage the systems development process to ensure that the Landing Gear Systems design meets its requirements on schedule.Key aspects of this job include the following: Integration of mechanical and/or hydraulic systems Plan the engineering activities alongside the Programme Chief Engineer to ensure successful development certification of the landing gear system Ownership of all project deliverables Liaising with the customer to ensure all requirements are properly defined and that the projects progress as planned Generate all System/Equipment Requirements Definitions, Validation Matrices, Verification Matrices and other deliverables required by the Validation & Verification process. Writing Declarations of Design Performance documentation RequirementsExperience of full ATA32 systems would be beneficialA sound knowledge of systems engineeringExperience of the V&V processTechnical management of different stakeholdersExperience of technical management of equipment suppliers, including investigation of test failuresExperience of management of the validation and verification processExperience of the broad range of the Systems development processExperience of IBM DOORS software would be beneficialExperience in landing gear structure and systems Ability and willingness to communicate and work with all disciplines of engineeringA sound knowledge of systems engineering theory together with knowledge of the principles of safety and reliability is requiredFamiliarity with ARP4754 and ARP4761 would be very beneficialAbility to write technical reports clearly and accurately (in English)BenefitsIF THE EMPLOYED ROUTE IS CHOSEN:· Early finish on a Friday (1pm)· 5 weeks holiday per year plus statutory bank holidays· Personal pension scheme whereby 5% contribution from employee and 8% from employer plus salary sacrifice· Death in service life insurance – covering up to 4x annual basic salary in the event of death in service· PEGI Share Scheme· Career development within Safran Group· Training & development are a focus· Onsite canteen IF THE CONTRACTOR ROUTE IS CHOSEN:· Early finish on a Friday (1pm)· Onsite canteen
