Sous Chef - Contract Catering Site - £14.17/h - Work/Life Balance - SalisburyAre you looking for a new challenge within a leading contract catering company?Key info:Location: SalisburySalary: £14.17 per hourShifts: 5/7, 40 HOURS plus paid overtime, 1 in 3 weekends, 5/6am start -2/230 or 11pm - 730pmRequired skills include:* A strong understanding of produce and ingredients* Great organisational and interpersonal skills* An ability to work unsupervised and consistently deliver quality work, and to monitor your own performance and that of your colleagues/team* Experience of a variety of kitchen environments and cuisines* A good working knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) at all levels* Knowledge of food production methods* embrace new ideas and processes* Positive and approachable mannerDuties will include:* To take some responsibility for all elements of the kitchen including preparation, cooking and presentation of food to agreed standards.* To supervise catering staff.* To set and maintain standards.* To ensure the kitchen is kept in a clean tidy and hygienic state.* To liaise with customers, to ensure their needs are being met from sales through to delivery.* To liaise with customers, to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for.To be successful, you'll need to have:* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Chef* Food Hygiene certificate and Food allergen training* Knowledge of health and safety issues (COSHH etc) - further training can be given* A real passion for hospitality and delivering great service* Able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations* Team player and able to work in busy environmentsIf this sounds like a role you will be interested in then please click the "Apply" Button BelowUnfortunately, due to the large volume of applications we receive, we can only respond to applicants with relevant work experience.
