Job Description: Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant Location: East of England, Norfolk, MertonJob Type: Temporary, Part-TimeSalary: £150 - £200 per dayPrimary Industry: Education and TrainingJob Duties: Assist in providing drama support to primary and early years studentsCollaborate with teachers to develop and deliver drama lessonsHelp create and organise drama activities, including rehearsals and performancesGuide students in exploring different dramatic techniques and conceptsSupport students in developing their creativity, confidence, and communication skills through dramaProvide individual and group assistance during drama sessionsAssist in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe learning environmentHelp with the preparation of teaching materials and resourcesContribute to assessing and evaluating students' progressCommunicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding students' performance Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related fieldExperience working with primary or early years studentsStrong knowledge and understanding of drama techniques and conceptsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamGood organisational and time management skillsPatience and the ability to engage and motivate studentsFlexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Education or DramaPrevious experience as a teaching assistantExperience in planning and delivering drama lessonsKnowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworksFirst Aid certification Working Conditions: The Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant will primarily work within a school setting, assisting in drama sessions and supporting students. The role may involve working with students individually or in groups. The working hours will be part-time, with specific schedules determined by the school. The ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of an educational environment is essential. The role is temporary, with the duration dependent on the needs of the school. The successful candidate will earn a competitive daily rate of £150 - £200 per day.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
