Chartered Building Surveyor – Central London Residential FocusPayte Architects London Location: Central LondonType: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible Working Options Considered)Salary: £65,000–£85,000 per annum (DOE)________________________________________About the Role:Payte Architects London is looking to appoint a highly experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our growing team on a permanent basis. This is a key role within our practice, supporting our high-end residential and mixed-use projects across Central London.The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of the London property market, particularly around leasehold/freehold structures, managing agents, and heritage buildings. You’ll work closely with our architects, planning team, and construction managers, offering expert advice from feasibility through to delivery.________________________________________What We’re Looking For:• RICS Chartered (MRICS or FRICS)• Extensive experience with Prime Central London residential properties• Strong working knowledge of Licence to Alter (LTA) applications• Confident dealing with Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and securing BSR (Building Safety Regulator) approvals• Familiarity with historic buildings, listed property regulations, and modern interventions• Comfortable liaising with managing agents, landlords, and legal teams• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• A courteous and collaborative approach to client engagement• Strong report writing and defect analysis skills________________________________________What We Offer:• £65,000–£85,000 salary depending on experience• Flexible working hours (full-time or part-time considered)• The opportunity to work on high-quality, design-led projects• A collaborative team with a solid pipeline of private residential work• A respected architecture practice known for end-to-end project delivery across architecture, planning, interior design, and construction________________________________________About Us:Payte Architects London is an ambitious practice delivering tailored architectural solutions across London’s most prestigious postcodes.
