Technical Superintendent (LNG) - Permanent - Newcastle - Competitive salary plus benefits A reputable shipping organisation based in Newcastle are currently recruiting for an LNG Technical Superintendent to join their expanding team. Responsibilities will include: Anticipate and drive safe and flawless performance of assigned vessels Development of vessel-operating budgets Working on longer-term projects for example planned maintenance systems and capital projects; Dry Docks and major repairs Providing support in all aspects of ship operations Carry out regular risk reviews for vessel operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken Analysing the nature and root cause of any serious breakdown or damages Review monthly OPEX costs against budget & report on any deviations Coach and develop Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore Experience / Qualifications Required: Have sailed up to Chief Engineer on LNG Carriers and have a deep understanding of technical operations for the vessel types managed. Ideally hold a Class one Chief Engineer Unlimited CoC Ideally have DFDE and/or MEGI LNG experience Previous shore based experience as Superintendent is preferred You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
