An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive professional to join a well-established law firm in Walsall. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and the chance to make a real impact on firm-wide compliance and regulatory practices.Key Responsibilities:As Compliance Officer, you will play a central role in overseeing and enhancing the firm’s regulatory compliance processes. Duties include: Reviewing, updating and implementing compliance policies and proceduresConducting internal audits and compliance assessmentsProviding in-house training on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and SRA standardsHandling day-to-day compliance queries during client onboardingSupporting the Finance Department with AML complianceAssisting the COLP, COFA and MLRO in maintaining regulatory adherenceInvestigating and reporting on compliance breachesLiaising with the SRA and other regulatory bodies as requiredMonitoring regulatory updates and ensuring timely implementation of changes About YouOur client is looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional with: Proven experience as a Compliance Officer within a legal environmentIn-depth understanding of SRA Standards and Regulations and Anti-Money Laundering legislationExceptional organisational skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently while collaborating across departmentsProficiency in IT systems and compliance toolsA proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for legal compliance What’s On Offer?
