Teaching Personnel is working with a fantastic secondary SEN school In Bolton that supports students aged 11–16 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team and help students reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys thinking creatively, building strong relationships, and working as part of a dedicated team to support young people who need a different approach to learning.Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver personalised lessons to small groups or on a 1:1 basis, tailored to students' EHCPsUse engaging, practical approaches to bring learning to life and meet diverse needsSupport students in developing key life skills, communication, and emotional regulationWork closely with support staff, therapists, and external agencies as part of a holistic approachTrack student progress and contribute to reviews, reports, and planning meetingsHelp manage challenging behaviours with a calm, consistent, and trauma-informed approach
Ideal Candidate:
QTS or QTLS – essentialExperience working with secondary-aged students with SEN (either in schools or similar settings)Strong understanding of SEND strategies, behaviour support, and differentiated teachingPositive, resilient, and nurturing attitudeConfident managing behaviour and building rapport with pupils with complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
