This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about early learning, confident with phonics, and excited to make a lasting impact during this crucial stage of education. The school is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher who can bring creativity, warmth, and consistency to the classroom. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. Role Highlights: Full-time Year 1 Teacher position within a well-established, two-form entry school Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum Lead high-quality phonics instruction using a structured phonics programme (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle) Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 Teacher to share ideas and resources Monitor pupil progress closely and adapt learning where necessary Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and support staff Support pupils' transition from the EYFS stage and nurture a love for learning early on What We're Looking For: A qualified Year 1 Teacher (UK QTS required) Experience or strong understanding of teaching systematic phonics Confident in delivering a balanced and engaging KS1 curriculum Enthusiastic, reflective, and passionate about early childhood education Committed to creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Open to ECTs or experienced Year 1 Teachers looking for a fresh opportunity Why Join This School?
