Mechanical Shift Engineer - 4 on 4 off Day and Nights - Healthcare site – Whitechapel London – up to £47,000 - £50,000My client is looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to be based in a Healthcare building In Whitechapel, London. The successful candidates will be Mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following. PackageUp to £50,000 per annumUniform and Tools ProvidedCycle to work scheme20 Shifts holiday + bank holidaysOvertime AvailableA lot of progression availableAnnual pay review Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonitor mechanical plantPumps, Motors, Seals, BearingsAir Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etcMonitor the BMS systemsBasic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)General building fabricEscort specialist sub contractorsEnsure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift Lead or Supervisor.Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.Be proactive regarding preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records and documentation associated with the mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systems or as directedHours of workWorking 4 on 4 off days and nights 07:00 am-19:00 pm / 19:00 - 07:00RequirementsMechanically qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc)You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)A proven track record in commercial building maintenanceMulti-skilledGood communication skillsExcellent customer skills Must be able to get to site for 07:00am start
