We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to become a level 3 early years apprentice at our beautiful nursery in Hamilton!This is an exciting opportunity to join a happy nursery where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff.Apart from the usual paperwork, knowledge of legislation and the EYFS, confidence, and the ability to be a great team player, you must also have the following to be considered:– You must be able to distribute the best hugs at the drop of a hat.– Imagination is key. If a child requests you to be a captain of a pirate ship, you'll be the best captain you can be.– You must have a brilliant memory, remembering all the names of lots of tiny people, their pets, toys and what they had for dinner last night.– Your processing skills must be rapid, as you must be able to count the heads of numerous small moving children. This is essential!– The ability to sing in tune is not necessary; however, the ability to learn all of the songs from Frozen II is.– You must be able to laugh at jokes you don't understand nor find funny!And finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. To adhere to Banana Moon policies and procedures and meet legislative requirements and following education curriculum.To assist the staff team to create a safe, caring and welcoming setting in which parents are happy to entrust their child and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.Requirements***Candidate MUST already hold a level 2 Early Years Qualification and want to work towards a Level 3 EY Qualification***DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sectorEnrolment on a work based training scheme to study a level 2 or level 3 qualification as defined by Children’s Workforce Development CouncilPast experience within the early years sector is preferable Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children and families. Enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated to supporting children's learning. Able to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment.
