If so, GSL Education are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Ockendon from September 2025.About the Role:This role is ideal for experienced support staff looking to step into a leadership role within the classroom. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence, supporting whole-class and small group learning, and contributing to the wider development of pupils across the school.Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and structured lessons to primary pupils using provided planning.Provide academic and emotional support to individuals and groups across the curriculum.Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt resources and support diverse learning needs.Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. Job Requirements: HLTA qualification or equivalent recognised experience.Previous experience in a UK primary school setting.Confidence in leading a class and managing behaviour.Knowledge of the national primary curriculum.A proactive and adaptable approach with excellent interpersonal skills.Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
