They are currently looking for a skilled Application Development Engineer to join a delivery team working on enterprise-level applications within the legal sector. Job Responsibilities/ObjectivesYou will be instrumental in implementing new features, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the quality assurance process across the software development lifecycle. Working under the guidance of a Senior Engineer and Architect, you'll play a key role in ensuring code quality, system reliability, and efficient deployment.* Implement application features and bug fixes in alignment with architectural and functional requirements.* Collaborate with the Senior Engineer and Technical Architect to translate designs and requirements into high-quality code.* Adhere to coding standards and participate actively in peer code reviews.* Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure system robustness and performance.* Work closely with the DevOps Engineer to ensure smooth progression of releases through the CI/CD pipeline.* Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) as part of a cross-functional delivery team.* Document technical solutions, contribute to knowledge sharing, and assist in system support as required.Required Skills/ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have the following:Tech Stack in Scope* Back-End: C#, .NET (including MVC patterns), Entity Framework, MSSQL* Front-End: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Angular, React, Vue.js* Architecture & Services: REST APIs, Authentication/Authorization mechanisms* Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, DevOps Pipelines)* Proven experience in application development using C# and .NET Frameworks.* Strong knowledge of MVC patterns and Entity Framework for back-end development.* Proficiency in front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML/CSS, jQuery, and modern frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.* Experience working with RESTful APIs and implementing secure authentication/authorization flows.* Competency with MSSQL for data modelling, querying, and integration.* Familiarity with Azure cloud services and experience in cloud-based application deployment and monitoring.* Comfortable working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines.Desirable Skills/ExperienceAlthough not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:* Experience working in or delivering solutions for the legal, regulatory, or compliance sectors.* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).* Knowledge of QA methodologies and test automation practices.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.DisclaimerNotwithstanding any guidelines given to level of experience sought, we will consider candidates from outside this range if they can demonstrate the necessary competencies.Square One is acting as both an employment agency and an employment business, and is an equal opportunities recruitment business.
