This critical role supports our community's health and environment by ensuring timely and efficient waste collection. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate refuse collection vehicles in a safe and efficient manner across residential and commercial routes.Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure operational readiness.Lift and empty bins into collection vehicles, ensuring proper handling and minimal spillage.Communicate clearly with team members and members of the public regarding routes, schedules, and any collection issues.Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, your team, and the public.Keep vehicles clean and tidy after each shift to maintain hygiene and professionalism.RequirementsPrevious experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable to assist with minor vehicle maintenance.Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout the workday.Good physical fitness to handle outdoor work in all weather conditions.Strong communication and teamwork skills.ScheduleDay shiftMonday to FridayBe a part of a team that keeps our community clean and safe.
