Waking Night Officer £27,352 per annum plus holiday and benefits – South East LondonAre you confident working independently through the night? Do you have the skills to support vulnerable individuals in a safe and stable environment?The Role We are looking for a dedicated Waking Night Officer to join our 24-hour supported housing scheme in South East London. This is a vital role within our organisation, offering essential support to residents living with mental health needs during night hours.You will work 4-night shifts per week (11 hours per shift, with a one-hour unpaid break), helping ensure a secure, clean and calm environment for our residents.Key Responsibilities: Monitor the wellbeing of residents throughout the nightProvide in-person support and supervise medication routinesConduct hourly checks on all properties within the schemeEnsure all visitors have left the site by 10pmRespond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, including contacting the on-call managerMaintain clean communal areas and a tidy officeRecord all relevant information in our management database, including: Daily logsMaintenance issuesIncident reportsClient alerts Take phone calls and manage out-of-hours queriesPrepare the meeting room for the following dayAttend training and supervision sessions during the day when required. The Person We’re looking for someone who is: Clear and confident in both written and verbal communicationFriendly, reliable and calm under pressureExperienced in using computers and handling records accuratelyAble to work independently but also willing to be part of a supportive teamComfortable working night shifts, including weekendsUnderstanding of the challenges faced by people with mental health needs (experience in this area is a bonus but not essential).
